Skylanders: Swap Force - Mega Ram Spyro is the third version (not counting variants) of this iconic character to be released. His repose adds large horns and spikes to the little dragon and
Skylanders: Swap Force adds a new Wow Pow ability, Head Start!, to his arsenal.
Mega Ram Spyro starts off with two of Spyro’s classic attacks, a fireball and a head-butting charge. The purple dragon’s first few upgrades include farther-reaching fireballs, a longer charging attack and the ability to fly over, letting him go over water and move faster. The most expensive upgrade Mega Ram Spyro can get before choosing an upgrade path is the ability to shoot triple fireballs instead of just one.
Spyro’s paths let you specialize in the character’s charging or fireball attacks. The Sheep Burner Spyro option starts by letting you add a fire-shield around the character whenever you fire your fireball. The second upgrade lets the center fireball explode on impact, while the third lets you charge up the fireball attack to unleash a massive fire attack.
The path that upgrades Spyro’s charge starts off by stunning the enemies that Spyro hits while charging, while the second replaces the stun with a fiery effect and burn damage. This upgrade path caps off with a much more powerful charge that is seen as a second set of horns hitting enemies and, of course, deals out even more damage.
Mega Ram Spyro’s Soul Gem ability is found in the Crawling Catacombs in Spyro’s Adventure, but can be purchased in the sequel games. It gives Spyro a ground-pound attack. His first Wow Pow attack (added in Skylanders: Giants) is Fireslam! and it unleashes fireballs when doing the ground-pound maneuver and the newest attack summons a worm to appear at the end of Spyro’s charge so it can chase after more enemies and do even more damage.
