30 Movies and a Ton of Extras

Company: Warner Brothers Home Entertainment
Product: DC Universe 10th Anniversary Collection

While the DC Universe 10th Anniversary Collection contains thirty animated movies released between 2007's Superman: Doomsday and 2017's Batman and Harley Quinn, it isn't just a repackaging of the previously-released discs in one boxed set. It also contains a slew of special features that any fan interested in this collection should enjoy.

The bonus disc contains a featurette about looking for the "super humans" among everyday people, as well as one that follows Mark Hamill's career from Luke Skywalker to voice acting iconic roles like The Joker. There is also a featurette about the "Justice League Dark" comic book series and specifically the characters of Constantine, Zatanna and Deadman. Also contained on the disc are three different panels: a tribute to comic book writer and artist Darwyn Cooke; the 2008 Comic-Con for the animated Wonder Woman film and the panel for the DC Universe 10th Anniversary Collection boxed set from 2017's Comic-Con.

The bonus disc also include all five "DC Showcase" animated shorts, The Spectre, Green Arrow, Jonah Hex, Catwoman and Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam, but the disc isn't the only source of extras in this release. There is also a coloring book and set of three collectible coins featuring the DC Trinity: Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.

As for the movies themselves, not only does it contain many of the animated DC films released in the last 10 years, but all of their bonus features are intact and, when possible, the updated re-release versions of the movies are present. This includes the Commemorative Editions of both Wonder Woman and Justice League: The New Frontier.

Over the years, we've had opportunities to review many of these movies, so if you want a more in-depth discussion about any of them, there is a good chance you can find our review in the links below. Personally speaking, I've found most of these animated films enjoyable and unless you happen to already have all or most of these films, then DC Universe 10th Anniversary Collection is a set worth considering, especially with the holiday season upon us.
